For 2005 the agreement includes broadcasting of 30 matches from the championship and five matches from the tournament for the Cup of Bulgaria – quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The amount, which BNT will have to pay for season 2005/2006 exceeds with BGN 50 000 the amount from the last-year agreement. Though then all the revenues from sub-licensing and sponsorship were on behalf of S.V. - RSA. The provision from the contract in question was valid till reaching the amount of USD 620 000, against which the company could buy the TV rights of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU). After that the attracted funds should be divided equally between both parties of the agreement, but this did not happen. This year BNT receives 30 or 40 percent of the revenues from sponsorship. The returns from advertisement will also be divided in such a percentage. Last year it was 60/40 on behalf of S.V. - RSA.

It is expected that the purchase agreement for the TV rights of the Bulgarian championship will be passed by the Management Board of BNT next Tuesday and will be signed few days later.
According to the representative of S.V. - RSA for Bulgaria – Valentin Mihov, the contracts with the other two national televisions – “Nova television” and “BTV” are already specified. "Both media will for sure buy licenses for broadcasting reports from the football championship. "Canal 3" will take again the rights for some of the “B” group matches and the negotiations with “Ring TV” and “Evrocom Plovdiv” are forthcoming”.

The financial terms under the agreements will be similar to the ones of last-year. After the decrease in the revenues from the general sponsor “Zagorka” I will try to attract one or two more companies, which to be advertised through Bulgarian football. They will be broadcasted on all televisions, which buy TV rights licenses", Mihov explained. The contracts with BTV of last year was to the amount of BGN 81 000, "Evrocom Plovdiv" paid BGN 60 000 for the right to broadcast reports from the championship and the hosts matches of the local “Botev” in “B” group.
S.V. - RSA received almost the same amount by “Canal 3”. The general sponsor of the championship “Zagorka” will also transfer BGN 250 000. Valentin Mihov explained that this year the brewery will change its motto “Fair play – real football”.
Season 2005/2006 is barely the second one ever since 1996, for which the state television refuses to purchase the whole package of rights for the matches in “A” and “B” groups. In 2002 and 2003 BNT paid to S.V. - RSA USD 350 000 for a season.
