Ariana becomes the main sponsor of the internal football championship

Ariana mark takes from Zagorka the main sponsorship of the Professional Football League (PFL), the
General manager of Zagorka AD - Jan Derck van Karnebeek and the President of PFL Valentin
Mihov announced at a joint press conference on 20 July. The sponsorship agreement of the National
football championship enters into force as of the present season 2006-2007 and refers to A and B football groups.
„This sponsorships is a continuation of our successful cooperation with PFL, which has
started in 2002. The strong market position of Ariana is quite naturally connected with the values
of the Bulgarian football championship, where the best of our professional football is shown”, Jan
Derck van Karnebeek, General manager of “Zagorka” AD announced at the press conference. According
to the President of PFL Valentin Mihov, the Ariana’s sponsorship support will provide one calm
holding of the championship and will motivate the professional football clubs. Ariana’s decision to
take the main sponsorship of the National football championship is as a result of the strategic
plans of “ Zagorka” AD to continue the development of the mark in the long term, as the latter of
which from a regional beer turned to one of the most preferable beers at a national level.

Zagorka” AD is the leading Bulgarian brewery with 28% market share for the period January – June
2006 after data of the Union of brewers, with realized beer quantity on the market 684 514
hectoliters respectively. For the year 2005 „Zagorka” AD has registered profit before
interests and taxes in compliance with the International accounting standards to the amount EUR
4 747 000, which is 15% higher in comparison to 2004. The winning mark Zagorka, Ariana,
