Levski won the derby again with 1:0; led 6 points before CSKA

The champion Levski won against its follower CSKA with 1:0 in the derby of the 21st round of TBI “A” group. Thus the team of Stanimir Stoilov collected 54 points and led before the “armies” with 6 points plus the better goal-ratio. But Lokomotiv Sofia may interfere in the fight for the gold, especially if it wins at “Lauta”. The forward of the “blues” Hristo Yovov brought the victory of the champions in 20th minute when after Stanislav Angelov’s hit and ricochet, Yovov got the ball on the borderline of the penalty area and sent it into the net of the doorkeeper Ivailo Petrov with a strong diagonal kick. Levski was dominating till the break but after that withdrew in defence and took care to keep its advantage. Both Muri Stoilov and Stoicho Mladenov relied on the security and caution of the game. To some extent this made the derby, in which the rivals made a lot of unexplainable omissions before the goal, uninteresting. “We have already pulled out the cork of the champagne but we are not allowed to make any mistakes till the end of the season”, Levski’s legend Pavel Panov commented. CSKA might regret for the inexact kicks of Eugen Trica, Petre and Udodji, but we had to pay attention to the excellent play of the champions’ doorkeeper Georgi Petkov, who saved all the balls that flew towards the goal.
The last chance for CSKA was in the first minute of the extra-time when the resourceful Tunchev passed by the defenders of the “blues” in the penalty area and shot towards the goal, but the ball passed by the beam.
While the song “You are not alone” was singed before the match, the fans of both teams applauded and behave after the European manner. “We had goal situations and especially in the second half-time, but we did not have enough luck to score a goal. I have claims to the referee Flaisher. In the first 7 minutes of the match he invented faults against Tiago Silva and Robert Petrov and stopped us from doing something. The German often interrupted the game. We could end the match in our favour already in the first half-time”, CSKA’s coach Stoycho Mladenov commented. He also added that in spite of the difference of 6 points after the leader Levski, the “armies” will fight for the title till the end. The President of CSKA Alexander Tomov, who watched the match in the company of the owner of the club Pramod Mital, announced that the Indian had been very pleased with the match, despite the loss. “In my opinion there was at least one penalty kick for us but we have to see the video tape. We shall calm down the boys; nothing is lost yet. Our team proved that it is very good” Tomov commented. “CSKA did not bother us very much. It relied only on centring. Our team was the better one”, the Executive Director of Levski Nasko Sirakov announced. He also added: “The valuation of Stoilov was given by the audience that applauded him. The audience continued to enjoy the team, which did not cease to make it happy with its play in the last two years. I am sorry if we have spoiled the holiday of the ill-wishers, who claimed that Levski would return points to CSKA. I have only to take from CSKA, not to give”. The head coach of the champions Stanimir Stoilov was also satisfied with the success, but did not miss the opportunity to criticize some weaknesses in the play of the team, that appeared after the break. “I think that our omissions are because of the great tension and the pledge of the match. At the same we won three important points on our way to the title. It is not yet won. I will not comment the referee. Let the one, who demanded a foreign referee to comment”, Muri announced.
