The third team in “А” group – CSKA, like the leader Levski and the second team Lokomotiv
(Sf), won its match from XIII round. The armies won with 2:0 against the guests from Botev before
almost empty stands in “Borisovata gradina”. Only about 500 spectators came at the stadium and many
of them were fans of the Plovdiv’s team. The boycott of the “Reds” fans seemed to be provoked by
the weak play of CSKA. It was the first time from many years that at “Bulgarska armiya” stadium
were not scansions in support of the hosts. The spectators only applaud the goals and did not miss
to raise posters against the team. It seems that the hard days for the footballers and their coach
Stoycho Mladenov have not come to an end.
CSKA was not very fast in the play once more, but this was not so necessary. The victory was
sealed with the goals of Florentin Petre in 30th minute and of Georgi Petrov in 43rd minute. Both
goals were scored after mistakes in Botev’s defense. There were only few interesting things in the
boring match. The Brazilian Daniel Morales from CSKA played for the first time as right midfielder
in the place of the punished Yordan Todorov. Tiago Silva from the “Reds” contused during the second
half time and the youth Pavel Vidanov debuted.
