Platini: Football is not war

UEFA President Michel Platini again criticized the violence in football, the official site of the European Football Organization www.uefa.com. In his official UEFA letter the Frenchman reminded that the game should not a matter of life and death and any acts of violence should met with heavy punishment. "UEFA, as well as any local federation, have taken steps to eradicate this scourge from the stadiums, especially since the Heysel tragedy”, Platini shared. He said that all police forces throughout Europe should cooperate in order to counter these acts of violence. The announcement came after the excesses of the English fan in the European championships.”
