PFL will ensure the security of the final for the Cup of Bulgaria
"Ford Moto Pfohe"
”The Professional Football League (PFL) will take all the necessary measures for ensuring the
security of the audience during the final match from the tournament for the Cup of Bulgaria “Ford
Moto Pfohe”, which will be played this Thursday at 17:00 p.m. in Stara Zagora”, the president of
PFL Valentin Mihov announced at a meeting with the medias in discussion club “Football.bg”. „On
Wednesday there will be meetings with representatives of the municipality in Stara Zagora and with
the local structures of the police, in order to make the stadium as secure as possible for the
audience. We will ensure 10 000 tickets for Levski’s fans and 1000 – for Litex’s fans. Apart from
that, both clubs will be given passes for the central tribune. During the years I have announced
different financial stimuli to the fan clubs in order not to throw squibs, but even in that way I
could not reach the desired effect”, Mihov explained.
The league will support financially the building of football
fields in the country
The Professional Football League (PFL) will support financially the building of training
fields in the country with the funds from UEFA for child-adolescent football. The president of PFL
Valentin Mihov announced at a meeting with the medias in discussion club “Football.bg”. He informed
that UEFA would transfer CHF 300 000, which will be divided between two clubs by lots. “If we give
CHF 15 000 to 20 clubs the effect will be far less”, Mihov commented. He added that because of the
tragical condition of the football bases in the country during the next championship it will be
necessary that two or more teams, which do not receive licenses for their stadiums, to play their
official matches at a common licensed field. So far Levski has received a license and 2-3 clubs
more are ready to receive. Mihov also announced that he has solicited before the President of the
country Georgi Parvanov, the State Agency of Youth and Sport to be transformed into a ministry
again, in order to be able to assume greater responsibilities and to solve the problem with the
football bases in the country by giving them to the football clubs. According to the President of
PFL the ending championship has been fair. He assumes that 95 % of the teams have played according
to the rules. “Many of the clubs do not get into contact with the referees. And this is very well.
I will give for example Nasko Sirakov, who has told me that he does not occupy with referees at
all. And this can be seen during the last three years. There are other clubs, which do the same.
For that reason it is getting more interesting”, Mihov announced. The President of the league
announced in defence of our native referees, who should receive calmness and chance for expression.
Valentin Mihov also said that the management of the Bulgarian Football Union is ready to give PFL
the full administration of the championship from the next season.
