Riletso fell out
The team of Levski that won its 25th champions title in the championship of TBI “A” group,
won also its fifteenth host match with the categorical result 6:2 against Litex. The blues received
a number of rewards after the match at the splendid ceremony at “Georgi Asparuhov” stadium, where
there were a lot of fans of the team. The President of PFL Valentin Mihov, manager of "S.V.-RSA
Bulgaria" – the company that owns the television and advertising rights of the Bulgarian football
championship, bestowed to the Executive director Bazhdekov and the captain of the champions
Topuzakov a cheque to the amount of BGN 50 000, which is a bonus to the title of the champion. The
main sponsor of the Bulgarian championship “Ariana” also rewarded “Levski” – a cheque to the amount
of BGN 20 000, which was bestowed by the Executive director of the company Jan Derck van Karnebeek.
“Levski” well-deserved became the team with the most attractive goals in five rounds during the
spring half-season. The blues also definitely took the cup for metropolitan winner. The first
vice-president of BFU Jordan Lechkov, in the company of the president of the league Valentin Mihov,
bestowed the golden medals to footballers, coaches and managers of Levski, as well as the champions
Cup of Bulgaria to the captain Topuzakov. Everything was celebrated with a festal illumination and
many happy moments for the fans.
The team of Levski, even without many titulars, easily defeated Litex with 6:2 after a total
superiority after the break. The rivals made an interesting match, and the “blues” well-deserved
congratulated themselves for the success. The guests from Litex, even a little disappointed by the
loss at the final for the Cup of Bulgaria “Ford Moto Pfohe”, opened the result in 14th minute, when
after a free kick Zhivko Zhelev hit the crossbar, the ball came back in the penalty area and there
was nothing left for Krum Bibishkov, than to score from such close distance. A pressure from Levski
followed right after that, as the players of Stanimir Stoilov could equalize in the 20th minute,
when Nikolai Dimitorv was wonderfully lead on the left wing of the attack and remaining alone
against Todorov he shot in his body. Yovov, who was again in the centre of everything interesting
in the “blues” attack, two times had the chance to equalize. The national player hit the crossbar
as he tried to shoot over Todorov from about 20 meters. At the end of the extra time of the first
half of the match Levski was given the right to shoot a penalty kick and Valeri Domovchiyski
restored the status quo. In the second half-time Litex again scored first, as in 59th minute
Sichero met a centre from a corner with his head and made the result 1:2 Then the champions woke up
and were absolute masters at the field till the end of the match. The entering of the veteran
Borimirov was the decisive trump of Muri. Miroslav Ivanov restored the status quo in the 69th
minute and only 120 seconds later Borimirov made the result 3:2. Seven minutes before the end of
the match Stanislav Genchev from Litex received a red card and the guests collapsed. Levski scored
new 3 goals. Stanislav Angelov, Ekundayo Jayeoba and again Daniel Borimirov scored them, forming
the champion’s end of the season for the “blues”.
The team of CSKA won as a guest against Belasitsa with 3:1 and finished at second place. The
guests started the game badly and were punished by the youth national player Vladimir Kabranov in
42nd minute, who scored after a beautiful pass of the captain of the team from Petrich Blagoi
Nakov. This made Stoicho Mladenov make two changes after the break, as Stanko Yovchev entered at
the place of Evgeni Jordanov and Abder Kabus was changed by Stoiko Sakaliev, who was with main
merits for CSKA’s turn. His hit was saved by Bahtarliev, who could do nothing at the supplement of
Florentin Petre. After that Sakaliev scored his first goal in an official match from an year and a
half. Daniel Morales scored the first goal for CSKA in 73rd minute, as he scored with a head again
after a centring from a corner of the Romanian footballer Petre. The Brazilian Markinjos, who
played in Belasitsa so far, was the new replenishment of the “reds”.
Lokomotiv (Sf) defeated Drajev’s team with 9:0, as Genkov scored 6 goals and took lead before
Kolev from Slavia for the scorer’s prize. The teams of Marek and Botev did not succeed to win and
ended in a draw 2:2, as they exchanged by one half-time in which controlled the initiative. The
team from Dupnitsa opened the result in 21st minute via Petev. The star Krastovchev made the result
2:0 at the beginning of the second half-time and Urumov turned to a hero for the “canaries”, who
scored twice, bringing a point for the Plovdiv team. As it was expected, the team of Rilski
sportist fell out in “B” group. It lost with 1:2 as guest to Cherno more and during the next season
will fight for joining the masters again. The forward Stefan Kostadinov opened the result in 49-th
minute for Riletso, but Georgi Vladimirov twice – in 72nd and 80th minute – led the “seamen” to the
victory. Rodopa lost with 1:2 from Slavia as a host and during the next season will also play in
the second echelon. The hosts succeeded to open the result in 55th minute via Ivan Tanchovski, who
scored with a strong hit from far away. Slavia succeeded to turn the match in their favour only for
2 minutes. Firstly Todor Kolev equalized in 83rd minute after an exact free kick In 85th
minute Martin Kerchev formed the result with a hit from about 30 meters. In a match without any
significance, Lokomotiv defeated with 4:0 the Varna team Spartak with goals of Goranov, Zlatinski
and two of Zlatinov.
