Imtech becomes new HSV partner
Hamburg / 13th August 2007 – Imtech, Germany’s leading supplier
of technical building equipment and services, is to become a new partner of Hamburg football club
HSV. The sponsorship package, which was put together by SPORTFIVE, includes a high profile for
Imtech on premium revolving advertising boards in full view of the TV cameras, advertising on the
upper tier and within ‘HSV Live’, plus a wide range of PR initiatives. The package is completed by
a company hospitality box. The deal has been initially agreed for two seasons.
“Imtech – formerly Rud. Otto Meyer – will be 150 years old next year, was founded in Hamburg
and, despite its great tradition, is a modern and ambitious company with a great workforce and by
some distance the market leader in Germany in its field,” says Klaus Betz, Executive Chairman at
Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. “We’re hoping for the same for HSV and we’re sure that they
can achieve this. As a Hamburg company, we therefore feel an obligation to back the club on its way
to the top!” “Football in general, and HSV in particular, provides a highly emotive promotional
platform that numerous companies utilise to their benefit and for their corporate communication,”
notes Hendrik Schiphorst, manager of the SPORTFIVE team at HSV. “I’m sure that Imtech, too, will
benefit greatly from their new association with the club.”
